Malaysia's first submarine



History was created with the arrival of the first submarine Royal Malaysian Navy, KD Tunku Abdul Rahman, at the base KD Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah, on Pulau Indah in Port Klang today.

Arrival greeted by the Yang di-Pertuan Agong Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin who accompanied Sultan Selangor Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah as the President of Navy Captain, Raja Muda of Selangor Tengku Amir Shah, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak, Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin and Minister Defense Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.

KD TAR, which is operated by 32 officers and members led by Commanding Officer Commander Zulhelmey Ithnain.
